Dizzy Dragon – an aside

I thought I’d post a quick shout-out for our new design site, Dizzy Dragon. The site is still under construction (there will be animation on it one day, when I have time) but this gives you a basic idea of what Frank and I do in the way of freelance work. We aim for simple, cost-effective solutions… so if you need beautiful illustrations, book covers, book trailers, a straightforward website, promotional copy/video or any combination of the above, drop us a line!

  1. Yes but how much do you CHARGE for your services…?

It really depends on what you want. Frank just finished a series of five concept sketches for $800 – quick work, it only took him 3 days to do. But his pay rate for the book covers on COT was higher, as the process took much longer (several idea sketches, a mock up, a final full colour illustration.)

A book trailer would cost from $300-$500. A simple wordpress-based site like http://writingeurope.com/ would be about $300. These are estimates, and if a project spirals into something more complex/time consuming it would cost more…

      Does that help? 🙂
