Wish I were there… do give us an echo of what was said, if only to test out your mimetic abilities to capture voices…

    • MaryV says:

There were several authors presenting, and it was a blast. Worth it simply to make contact with a fantastic group of local writers, multi-award-winning and the whole nine yards.

  2. Johanna Knox says:

Hi Mary – It was lovely to meet you, and I totally agree about it being worth it. I came away feeling like I’d been to a very mini writers/illustrators conference!

    • MaryV says:

Hear hear! Completely agreed. And the best thing is, we’re all within a few miles of each other, and can meet up again for coffee and chats galore!

I now actually feel like a Wellington writer, as opposed to some person who happens to write in Wellington…

  3. Helen Lowe says:

Hi Mary, It sounds like a lot of fun. And I ‘just love’ The Children’s Bookshop.

    • MaryV says:

It really was fun. I bet you know some of the folks who came, too. Fifi Colston, Fleur Beale, Johanna Knox, Mandy Hagar, Barbara Else, David Hair, Juliette MacIver, and several others if my memory serves…
