Between the lines

I’m basking in this Writing Strong Women series, not least because I get to take a back seat and watch my blog fill up with wonderful posts as if by magic! Tomorrow, we’ll be joined by the inimitable Saladin Ahmed, whose writing career is set to take a leap into the stratosphere with a first novel slated for release with Daw books in 2012. So far I’ve been enjoying his short stories in various formats.

Another cause for cat-like basking, stretching and general contented purring noises: a new review of ‘Samiha’s Song’ from FantasyLiterature.com

I will add, however, that those afraid of spoilers might want to steer clear of this one, as some action is described in detail and the reviewer leaves you with a general idea of how the book ends. Suffice to say, I’m pleased she liked it…

Thanks Helen! It’s lovely when people ‘get it’, isn’t it? You slave away at something, hoping to inject subtlety, drama and shades of grey… such a relief when that comes through.
