Due to personal and family matters, I unfortunately won’t be able to attend Swancon this year. I’m so sorry to disappoint those of you who were keen to meet up at the Con. You have my sincerest apologies and I promise to make it up to you, somehow! I was very much looking forward to touching base with readers and other fans, as well as following the awesome program. And I’ll definitely miss comparing notes with my wonderful fellow writers in Oz.
The Swancon organisers have been incredibly supportive of the decision, as have Voyager. I felt honoured to be invited as a new writer, and hope I have the chance to do it again, another time.
Oh no! I hope everything is ok and it’s nothing too dramatic or serious.
🙁
Dear Callisto,
It’s serious, but not unforeseen. I’ll msg you.
Honey! Your note is so gracious and of course everyone will understand.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do!
xxxKim
Kim you’re an angel.
I hope everything is alright and not too serious.
I messaged you, Tarran.
Great to hear that all the organisers were so understanding, what a nice group of folks. Hope everything works out
Thanks so much, Ashley!
Mary, I really want to support you and your decision–I think maximising time with family right now is the “only thing.”
It certainly is. The thought of going to a convention at this time was wrong and uncomfortable on many levels. I’ve been incredibly lucky to be able to bow out with everyone’s blessing, and adjust my priorities… 🙂
I hope everything is well! Or soon will be if it’s not now.
Thanks Tyson. All is as well as can be expected in the circumstances.
