Lately, I’ve had the pleasure of contributing to Nicole Murphy’s regular blog feature, discussing different writers’ habits and processes. It’s fun, because I don’t think I would have answered these questions the same way a couple of years ago… I’m getting pickier and harder to please as time goes on. This could be a good or bad thing, depending on your perspective.
Anyway, check out these posts and let me know what you think. Are you picky and slow, like me? Or do you power through drafts like an authorly tornado? All I know is that I’m not in Kansas any more:
Mary, love the posts. Your humour never fails to make me smile, if not have a deep belly laugh.
You’re good for the soul!

Glad to give your laugh glands a work out, Kim! 😀
That reminded me of a conversation in Terry Brooks book on where he was on a panel with Anne MCaffrey and he was lecturing on the importance of outlining before you write. Where Anne McCaffrey replied that she had never outlined anything in her life. To which Terry replied “Well I’m not Anne McCaffrey” 🙂 (or something along those lines)
I’m intrigued to hear about the new book, I hope we’ll be seeing more soon!
Ha, ha! That’s pretty good. Few of us are McCaffrey, indeed…
The new book is in formative mode so I’m not saying much about it at the moment… A great deal of work remains to be done. But I hope it’ll be worth waiting for. 😉
