An aside: Authors Compare

I’ve had the privilege of contributing this month to the Authors Compare initiative started by the Australian Literature Review. It’s an online database containing questions and answers with authors of all stripes, on subjects such as character, setting, short stories, poetry and more… the aim is to build up a bank of knowledge so that students can easily compare/contrast the answers given by different authors. I think it’s a wonderful initiative and long overdue! They’re still building up the database of course and aim to have input from over 100 authors by the end of October.

I contributed to the section on ‘setting’, talking about the World Tree. I hope you enjoy it.
